Additional Home Tutors are required to work with pupils of statutory school age who are temporarily unable to attend school on medical grounds. Teaching will cover a wide range of ability, up to, and including G.C.S.E. It will usually be on a one to one basis in the pupil’s home although on occasions other venues may be used.
An innovative and flexible approach to the delivery of the National Curriculum, in particular the core subjects, is essential, as is an ability to quickly establish relationships with pupils and to liaise effectively with mainstream school. Applications will be particularly welcomed from core subject specialists able to teach G.C.S.E
Working with pupils suffering from chronic illness, orthopaedic injury and mental health issues leading to school refusal, you will be well supported and have access to on-going professional development. Successful applicants will be appointed to the Home Tutor register.
